The Brightside is a large, flexible mixed-use event space perfect for everything from concerts and wrestling matches to weddings and workshops.
BALLROOM
The Brightside Ballroom's open floor plan can host up to 400 seated and 600 standing for shows, up to 230 for weddings and banquets, and 350 for cocktail receptions.

It's also equipped with a large stage, dance floor, state of the art lighting and sound system, and UV-C air filters to sanitize filtered air. The ballroom also connects to our 3,600 square foot patio and the Vod-Vil Bar.

Additional Perks: Large Chalk Wall for Event Branding, Catering Prep Kitchen, Tables and Chairs Included, Easy Band/Vendor Load-In.
VOD-VIL BAR
Deriving its name from the Vod-Vil sign that was mysteriously discovered on the property during our renovation, we like to think it’s the French spelling of Vaudville. Since Vaudville shows were known for their comedic sketches, songs, and general merriment, it sets the perfect tone for our Vod-Vil Bar.

Use of the Vod-Vil Bar is included with your Ballroom rental and is a popular hangout spot before and during shows. The Vod-Vil Bar also connects to the Patio for additional outdoor seating or access to food trucks.
PATIO
The Brightside has a green side too, and we love being able to provide you an urban oasis in the heart of downtown Dayton.

We designed the 3,600 square foot patio to be used for intimate patio shows or event cocktail hour space. It has plenty of electrical hook ups for musicians, food trucks, and buses.
​
The patio also includes tables and chairs, access to the Ballroom and Vod-Vil Bar, and has LED landscape lighting that be changed to specific colors to match your event theme.
UPSIDE LOFT
The Upside Loft serves as our Green Room during shows (Be sure to ask about our Brightside Band Camp option) with large loft space, three cozy lounges, two restrooms, outdoor deck, kitchenette, and hair and makeup stations.
​
The loft also acts as a bonus event space for weddings and events and regularly holds wedding ceremonies, bridal showers, workshops, yoga classes and more!
